Community Supporting Agriculture (CSA) at The Cameron Place

Your Connection to Local Family Farming

Our vision: “Produce the highest quality organic fruit and vegetables in manner which nurtures

the environment, labor and consumers; to build community through shared organic farming experiences;

to market our produce in a mutually profitable exchange.”

Your CSA

Community Sustaining Agriculture is based on a simple principle: Re-connecting people to their local food source, and in turn, the intricate web

of our environment. When you become a CSA member, you make a commitment to pay for

produce up front to share the risk and bounty of the farm over the growing season.

In return you get:

  • Food: You receive fresh organic produce for seventeen weeks: June 13 through October 17

.

  • Fruit Share

Sweet cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, pears and apples.

    • Small Fruit Share: 2 to 5 lbs fruit per week –60 lbs total--$150
    • Large Fruit Share:   3 to 10 lbs per week –140 lbs total--$325

Community: You are part of a local family farm and the community that supports it.

Hands-On Experience: CSA members can join us weekly in the fields and experience organic gardening.

Support: Your membership supports local, sustainable agriculture.

Giving Garden: Cultivate compassion by volunteering in the Giving Garden ! Members & their families create a special area of the CSA to grow produce for the elderly in need.

“Farm work can be a rite of passage for many, rather than a lifetime of drudgery for a few."

Our History

Thomas & Janet Cameron first tasted orchard work in the 1970s as laborers in the peach harvest. Our farm has evolved over 25 years to include:

•  Certified organic fruit production
•  International labor pool to promote cross cultural understanding.
•  Quality labor housing
•  Longstanding customer relationships.

Billi Davis will serve as the CSA Coordinator. His graduate agricultural degree from Cornell and long time experience as an organic gardener are a terrific contribution.

The Importance of Buying Local

Food is one of our basic needs. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way to bring fresh, organic produce directly from our farm to your table each week. CSA's strive to develop an available local food supply, encourage land stewardship, and build a sense of community.

Our dream is for our community to share the bounty of farm life. We hope you will join us to be a founding CSA member!

New Member Fee: One time $20 fee includes your recipe book with first pick up plus set up costs.
